NEW ENGLAND BACK ROADS -
October 20, 2008-October 27, 2008

Do something you have always wanted to do, and probably have not done so, yet - visit New England in autumn! This breathtaking tour will have you and your fellow travelers oohhing and aahhing over exquisite landscapes, quaint old towns, and historical buildings.

Your trip will begin with you arriving in Boston, Massachusetts. You will set off on a sightseeing tour that will feature visits to:

	the Old South Meeting House (meeting house where discussions that led to the Boston Tea Party were held),
	the Public Gardens (first public botanical garden in the United States),
	the Old North Church (oldest standing church in Boston, and home of the famed steeple where lanterns were displayed to signal to Paul Revere that the British army was headed to that area by sea),
	Beacon Hill (historial neighborhood of Boston and was designated a national historic landmark on December 19, 1962),
	the U.S.S. Constitution (the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world), and
	a stop at the shopping paradise known as Faneuil Hall Marketplace (featuring eclectic and tempting assortment of shops).

You will depart from Boston for Springfield, Vermont. Along the way, you will be entranced by the passing landscapes featuring traditional white-steepled churches, quaint villages and tree-covered mountainsides filled with blazing autumn colors. Over the next couple of days, you will explore the Shelburne Museum, the Adams Farm, the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, and a cruise around Lake Champlain to view the rugged beauty of the Adirondack Mountains. Before leaving Vermont, you will also tour the famous Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream factory and perhaps enjoy a delicious sample. Head on your way to beautiful New Hampshire to explore the scenic White Mountains and Kangamangus Highway and on into Maine where you can wander through the quaint town of Boothbay Harbor or take an optional cruise. You will end this delightful tour with a traditional New England lobster dinner and sightseeing around Kennebunkport, Maine (former summer home of President George H.W. Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush).

Per Person rates for this delightful tour package are $2,030/Double Occupancy; $2,730/Single; and $2,000/Triple. These prices include round trip airfare from Dallas/Ft. Please note that on some departures, the itinerary will consist of a one night stay in Springfield, VT and a 2-night stay in Burlington, VT. All sightseeing as noted above will be included.

ENCHANTING CHRISTMAS MARKETS-
December 2, 2008-December 9, 2008

Explore some of Europe's most picturesque cities in Europe. Your tour will begin with you arriving in Salzburg, Austria where you and your fellow travelers will enjoy dinner at the centuries-old St. Peter's Restaurant. You will wander through Salzburg to visit sites associated with The Sound of Music and famed composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart before shopping at Salzburg's charming Christmas market located in the historical part of the city.  In the following days, you will:

	hang out at one of Europe's largest open square, the baroque Main Square,
	visit St. Martin's Church (founded in 799),
	tour Schoennbrunn Palace (famous for its long and varied history inlcuding being home to Emperor Franz Josef I, and currently known for its gardens), and
	enjoy a traditional dinner at the historic Altes Presshaus Restaurant in the wine-making village of Grinzing.

You will travel through picturesque countryside to the capital city of the Czech Republic, Prague where you spend the last day of day of your exciting tour. While in Prague, take a walking tour  featuring the 1,000-year-old Hradcany Castle, imposing St. Vitus Cathedral with its glorious rose window and stained glass, and the colorful 'Golden Lane' (a row of small houses literally glued on the walls of the castle that housed goldsmiths as well as poets and writers including Franz Kafka). Your walk will proceed to the Charles Bridge, built in the 14th century and famous for its sixteen arches and thirty statues. You will see other architectural and historic beauties as well shop to your heart's content in the historic Old Town Square Christmas market. At the end of the day, you will join your fellow travelers for one last dinner before heading home.

Visitors are required to have travel/health insurance to travel to the Czech Republic. The health insurance must cover medical services abroad. The minimum coverage of the insurance has to be at least $38,000 USD. If you have purchased Collette Vacations Travel Protection, your coverage meets this requirement. If you opted not to purchase our travel protection, you will be required to have proof of your own coverage for the minimum of $38,000. Collette air passengers will arrive into the Munich, Germany airport. All Collette transfers will depart from the Munich airport for Salzburg.

*Driving time from Munich airport to Salzburg is approximately 2 hours.

Please note that single accommodations are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.

This itinerary includes activities where moderate to heavy walking, possibly on uneven terrain, is required. Some of the most unique sightseeing can mean accessing locations that restrict motorcoaches, especially in historic areas. For your comfort, we recommend bringing walking shoes.
